Jun Rillo, who made a scene in Game 5 for furiously complaining a lane violation called against San Mig star Marc Pingris and now called as “Boy Sukat”, gained an instant fame or notoriety. He was slapped with a technical foul.

Rillo used his hand to measure how far Pingris’ foot was from the baseline to show the referee that the call was wrong.

He, who usually sits at the farthest end of the San Mig bench, became the first ball boy in the league’s history to get a technical foul.

While recalling how Coach Cone got mad at him, he was apologetic when he went to the press room to get the halftime statistics on behalf of the team.

“Nag-blackout ako,” he said smiling to the mediamen. “Get out, get out,” he said when asked what Cone said to him. He just replied, “I’m sorry.”

His technical foul led to a free throw for Rain or Shine’s Jeff Chan.
After what he did, he was already planning of resigning if their team will lose.
"Kung natalo kami even by a point, sa akin yung sisi," he told Good Morning Club hosts Martin Andanar and Cheryl Cosim.

"Nagising na lang ako nang tinulak ako ni coach Tim Cone pabalik sa bench habang sinasabi na 'You're not supposed to be here', hindi ko rin alam bakit ko nagawa yun," he said while recalling his now famous stunt.

"Pero dun ko napatunayan na solid kami, na family kami kasi walang nagsabi ng negative comment or nanisi sa akin sa team pagkatapos mangyari yun," he added.

He was so worried when James Yap approached him during timeout.
"Okay lang yun kuya Jun, akong bahala sa'yo, part of the game lang yun," he recalled Yap telling him.

The 57-year-old ball boy, who has been with the team since 2008 and also serves as the team’s referee during practice, showed loyalty that earned Yap's respect.
Fortunately for Rillo, he got pardon as San Mig won, 82-79.
